Cancer... the dreaded "C" word... it stops you, your life, your family, your career... stops everything as you take it in. What does it mean? What is my prognosis, my treatments, the side effects? So many questions, all with no clear cut answers. If cancer has affected you or a loved one, you have had these questions and so many more. Kim had these questions when her mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer at age 63. Several years later, her niece and aunt were diagnosed with breast cancer and she is elated to say are Breast Cancer Survivors. Her uncle lost his battle with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma at age 53. They are her reasons for being a part of Random Acts of Pink. Giving back is her way to honor those she loves who have fought the battle. Volunteering is a very important part of her life. She is a Firefighter/Engineer/EMT with the Saint Lucie County Fire District and a member of the SLCFD Honor Guard. Her goal is to provide support to cancer fighters in Saint Lucie County so No One Fights Alone!
